Mobile #3 ‘fields, fore & aft’
The invited musicians were given some guidelines to help them find materials which they would like heard in the Mobiles project.
Principal concept - Mobile
A mobile is a type of kinetic sculpture constructed to take advantage of the principle of equilibrium.
Sound/Material Selection
Each musician selects between 8 - 10 minutes of sounds.
These sounds should be able to exist at any timepoint in the final composition (around 22 minutes in duration).
In addition, all sounds:
1) may act as foreground or background
2) may be fragmented into two (or more) sections at any point of the original track, and the fragmented sections may be re-arranged in any order.
